Sibylle(s)
Mediterranean mythological figures, alternately priestesses of Apollo and intercessors between humans and the god of the Dead, the Sibyls were implored from Italy to Libya, from Antiquity to the Renaissance. With their songs, the Sibyls have crossed shores and worlds, and travelled back in time... But who are they to us today? La Tempête explores their mysteries with a blend of Baroque pieces (Monteverdi, Purcell...), traditional music from the Mediterranean basin and contemporary compositions, opening up a dreamlike space on the theatre stage.
